I wonder outloud(on this blog) if small business owners are receptive to this kinda thinking and training.  If you are a small business owner I would love to hear your feedback.

What started out as a plan to invite 5 companies that I am sure would benefit and easily process in curriculum turned into a “who am i to judge” type situation.  So I opened it up to all the companies I work with.  Whats gonna be interesting is to see who responds.

On a side note sometimes I chuckle to myself that I actually get paid to help people.  No, for real.  One of my friends and highly respected colleagues(will prob keep the names of my friends private) but we have this ongoing chat sometimes about employees who are in a position to help, assist etc but are either outright enept or programmed by their company to give these canned responses which are no help.  I know the world is diverse but what if everyone literally was resourceful enough to get things moving…idk.

But back to small business leadership training… My job is to connect small business owners with the resources necessary to enhance their business in our Incubator environment.  Some days I think im pretty good.  Other days I wonder if I help at all.  But in the car ride back to the office today I repeated a theme thats been recurring lately with me…I cant be all things to all people.  Im picking out my work spot…It may be a big spot but its my spot dammit.

In the end I’m trying to get about 4k worth of training for free to my clients… Im halfway there.  How do i connect with those small business owners that are past the get employees to work on time issues they deal with and move them toward where does my company fit in an increasing global market and how do i tap into the power of my team as one powerful unit…
